Chief of Surgery

Dr. John is a dual-specialised surgeon in Orthopaedics and Plastics. He has over 10 years experience working in over 4 different countries.

He was born in the U.S., where he attended and finished his education, including Medical School and his Undergraduate degrees in Cellular & Molecular Biology, as well as in Chemistry.

Sustaining a devastating injury to his knee during an athletic event led him to pursue a career in Orthopaedics and Trauma.

While serving as a Captain in the Greek Military in the Armoured Division, he worked both as a trauma physician and as a tank commander in numerous operations.

Following this, he then worked as Trauma and Emergency Evac. surgeon, primarily responsible for transporting patients via Super Puma helicopters; C-130 Transport planes; commercial Planes, and ferries. He was also instrumental in transporting over a dozen victims, including many firefighters, from the Chios Fire of 2012 that burned the island for over a week and destroyed over 16,000 acres of land.

While in Athens, he worked for the largest trauma hospital in Southern Europe. During his time spent there, he finished his training in both Orthopaedic and subsequently Plastic Surgery. Quickly, he became well-known as an expert in both fields, combining his specialities and using skills from both medical fields to bring the best results for his patients.

Working in several private clinics in Athens, he established himself among the elite surgeons of Athens, treating many well known V.I.P.s living in Greece.

In the UK he worked as Chief of Surgery in the private sector, overseeing clinics 6 different clinics around the UK. Dr John Skevofilax has additionally worked in various hospitals in London and Oxford as part of the NHS.
